The Yorkshire County Cat Club is the
second oldest GCCF affiliated cat club and holds one of the largest
Championship all breed shows in the
UK. Although the date of the first meeting is unknown, the first show was
held in the 1920's and the club has continued to hold shows since then
except during the two world wars!
YCCC members have included and still include many of the most
knowledgeable Breeders, Judges, and Cat Owners in the country offering
years of experience in producing the finest examples of their chosen
breeds.
The YCCC Show is held in October
each year with a startling number of exhibits from Pedigree cats to the
ever popular Non
Pedigrees. This year (2009), the Show will be held on the 24th
October at the Doncaster Dome in Doncaster South Yorkshire. The Show
Schedule and entry form will be available for download the first week in
August on the
SHOW
page.
URGENT NOTICE
A very special home
wanted for 3 year old tortie and white neuter female cat.
She is in good health and very loving to humans but doesn't like other
cats, so needs to be an only animal.
Ideally she would like a cat flap so she can go exploring as she does at
the moment, although she doesn't venture far.
Someone who works from home or an older person might be suitable, but
all offers of a new home will be carefully considered.
The decision to re home her is heartbreaking for her current owners but
we all feel it will be the best for everyone concerned.
